The Jäätikkö dress is made of silk twill in the Ostjakki pattern. The dress has a concealed zipper in the back seam, a separate belt, and wide cuffs at the sleeve ends. The hem has a slight A-line cut.
The Ostjakki (Khanty) check pattern was originally part of a collection entitled Iso karhu (Ursa Major), which was inspired by a book depicting the life of the Finno-Ugrian peoples as well as by textiles patterned using the traditional ikat dyeing technique.
