This product is made from South-African mohair and wool from New Zealand. The wool is mulesing-free and Lapuan Kankurit works only with certified spinning mills. Wool yarns are spun in Europe. All yarns are dyed in Europe in accordance with REACH regulations and the OEKO-TEX certificate.
Lapuan Kankurit's strategy is to be responsible for the whole production from yarn to readymade products. Most of the production happens in their own weaving mill in Lapua.
Material
70% mohair and 30% pure new wool. Contains a small amount of nylon.
Care
Take the textile outdoors in fresh air for a while. Mohair blankets need brushing once in a while. Brush the blanket gently with a fabric brush, following the grain of the wool.
ONLY if the blanket is extremely dirty, dry clean or hand wash cold at max. 30°C. If using powder detergent, dissolve it in plenty of water. Immerse the blanket in the water and wash immediately. Squeeze very gently. Do not scrub, stretch or wring out.
Rinse thoroughly and squeeze out most of the water. Press the blanket between towels until half-dry and leave it to dry in an airy space. Do not tumble dry. Brush gently.
