The Tuuleton coat in the Piccolo pattern is made of lightly water-repellent cotton. The coat has a fixed drawstring hood, a two-way zipper underneath the front placket, and flap pockets. The waistline can be tightened with drawstrings and the sleeve ends with snap buttons. The coat has a slight A-line cut and an interior lining.
In her first year at Marimekko in 1953, designer Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi created Piccolo, a striped fabric painted with freehand brushstrokes. Three years later, a Piccolo print shirt called Jokapoika became the first piece of Marimekko menswear to hit the stores and the streets.
