Marimekko's famous Unikko pattern was introduced in 1964, a time when the design house primarily focused on abstract prints. Designer Maija Isola aimed to create something distinctive with an organic theme, leading her to design an entire range of floral prints. Today, the iconic flower symbolizes creativity.
