Maridenim Kuvata Unikko Shortsleeve Shirt | Indigo

The mid-indigo Maridenim Kuvata jean shirt is made of non-stretch cotton denim in the Unikko pattern. The short-sleeved button-up jean shirt has a relaxed fit, a chest pocket, and a back yoke seam. The shirt features Marimekko jean buttons.

Marimekko Maridenim products are designed following the Jeans Redesign guidelines of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, the world´s leading network on circular economy. According to the guidelines, the denim material is monomaterial cotton (100% organic cotton) with no elastane. Marimekko Maridenim is made with minimal use of hardware, including the use of removable buttons and no rivets. The washing, finishing, and use of chemicals also follow the guidelines. 

Marimekko’s famous pattern Unikko was born in 1964 in a time when the design house’s collections featured mostly abstract prints. Designer Maija Isola wanted to create something interesting from this organic theme and designed an entire range of floral prints. Today, the iconic flower represents creativity.

Material: 80% organic cotton, 20% recycled cotton

Care: Wash separately in cold water. Wash inside out. Close buttons before washing. Line dry. Iron with medium heat.
