Mid-indigo cotton denim in the Unikko print, cut for easy wearing. Relaxed fit, short sleeves, button front, chest pocket, and a back yoke seam. Finished with Marimekko jean buttons — no rivets, nothing unnecessary.

Like all Maridenim pieces, each shirt develops its own patina over time. The variation is intentional. It's part of what makes it yours.

Built for the long term. The Kuvata Shirt follows the Jeans Redesign guidelines of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, the leading global network on circular economy. The denim is 100% organic cotton — no elastane. Production uses laser technology, E-Flow steam washing, and ozone washing in place of traditional methods. Buttons are removable. Hardware is minimal by design.

On the print. Unikko was born in 1964, at a time when Marimekko's collections were dominated by abstract patterns. Designer Maija Isola wanted to explore something different — something rooted in nature — and created an entire range of floral prints. The poppy became the most iconic of them all.

Care: Wash separately in cold water. Wash inside out. Close buttons before washing. Line dry. Iron with medium heat.
